Benue State Govt. cancels 3rd Term for schools

Primary and secondary schools in Benue State will not observe the third term of the 2019/2020 academic session.

The Commissioner for Education, Professor DENNIS ITYAVYAR, said the adjustment in the schools’ curriculum was due to the impact of the Covid-19 lockdown for over five months.

The Commissioner who briefed newsmen in Makurdi, directed schools in Benue State to prepare the prepare the results for the promotion of students to their next classes based on their first and seconds term performance.

He also said the state government would not allow school administrators to charge their students for third term, which has been cancelled.
