President MUHAMMADU BUHARI has welcomed steps taken by state governments to meet part of the demands by the EndSARS protesters.
President BUHARI noted that thirteen states have so far set up Judicial Panels to investigate allegations against the disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad of the Nigeria Police.
The President listed the states that have complied as Lagos, Kaduna, Delta, Ekiti, Ogun, Anambra, Enugu, Imo, Plateau, Edo, Nasarawa, Ondo, and Akwa Ibom.
Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, FEMI ADESINA, said the President appeals for understanding and calm across the nation, as the implementation of the reforms continues at Federal and State levels.
ADESINA also said the Buhari Administration remains committed to the implementation of lasting police reforms in Nigeria.
