Buhari holds emergency security meeting over ENDSARS crisis

President MUHAMMADU BUHARI has held an emergency meeting of the National Security Council in response to the outbreak of violence in different parts of the country.

Vice President YEMI OSINBAJO was present at the meeting, together with the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, BOSS MUSTAPHA, and the Chief of Staff to the President, Professor IBRAHIM GAMBARI.

Other members of the Federal Executive Council who were also present are the Ministers of Defence, Interior, Foreign Affairs and Police Affairs,

The Chief of Defence Staff, Chief of Army Staff, Chief of Air Staff, and Chief of Naval Staff, as well as the Inspector General of Police also attended the meeting.

The National Security Adviser, BABAGANA MONGUNO, who addressed State House Correspondent after the meeting, said President MUHAMMADU BUHARI will come out with something that Nigerians would like very soon.

MONGUNO also said President BUHARI is still committed to the concessions made in the EndSARS protests, and want the young Nigerians to come forward for negotiations.
