CNN stands by investigative report on Lekki shooting

The Cable News Network, CNN, says it stands by its report on soldiers allegedly shooting of EndSARS protesters at the Lekki Tollgate in Lagos, Nigeria.

Reacting to the Nigerian government criticism of its investigative report and threat of sanction, a CNN spokesman insisted that their reporting was based on detailed and careful research.

The spokesman said the report was based on testimony from dozens of witnesses, and photos and video obtained and geo-located by CNN.

It maintained that the families of two protesters it identified as VICTOR SUNDAY IBANGA, and WISDOM OKON, have not seen them since they went for the protest on October 20.
