Covid-19 Vaccine due in Nigeria by January ending, amid increasing new cases

The Nigerian Medical Association has raised alarm about the increasing cases of new Covid-19 infections.

The Lagos State Chairman of the NMA, Doctor ADETUNJI ADENEKAN, said the isolation wards are getting filled again.

Doctor ADENEKAN expressed worry that people are now behaving as if they have forgotten the impact of the coronavirus.

He was quoted in a report saying that total failure to follow the preventive guidelines is responsible for the increase in new cases of Covid-19.

The NMA Chairman wondered why some people find it difficult to wash their hands regularly and wear face masks, which are basic requirements to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

Meanwhile; the Minister of Health, Doctor OSAGIE EHANIRE, has said that Nigerians should expect to receive the Covid-19 vaccine by the end of January next year.
