The Cross River State Government has launched a new joint security outfit, a day after hoodlums killed an Assistant Commissioner of Police in Calabar.
The outfit known as “Operation Akpakwu” comes fully mobiblised, with branded patrol cars and power bikes.
Governor BEN AYADE the “Operation Akpakwu” at a ceremony in Calabar, with a charge to go after criminals that have been making life difficult for people of the state.
Governor AYADE also declared that criminals, such as kidnappers, armed robbers, and bandits, would refuse to leave the state would be sent to jail.
