Lagos State Governor, BABAJIDE SANWO-OLU, celebrated the Independence Day with a group of children at the State House in Marina.
Governor SANWO-OLU took the children through a graphic presentation of the history of Nigeria’s independence from Great Britain in nineteen-sixty.
The ceremony was titled: “Independence Day with the Future Diamonds”.
In Oyo State, Governor SEYI MAKINDE celebrated Independence Day by leading a peaceful walk on the streets of the state capital, Ibadan.
Governor MAKINDE, who stopped to address the people twice during the walk, said not everything was wrong with Nigeria in the last sixty years.
He challenged Nigerians to focus on the things that at right with the country while looking for ways to improve on the negative things.
