Popular Disc Jockey, FLORENCE OTEDOLA, also known as DJ CUPPY, has threatened to take legal action against ISRAEL AFEARE, who is an assistant to award-winning singer, DAVIDO.
DJ CUPPY’s threat was contained in a letter by her lawyers from the law chambers of Babajide Koku and Co.
She is demanding a public apology from AFEARE over an alleged libellous statements against her in an Instagram post.
According to a report, AFEARE is said to have alleged that DJ CUPPY did not compensate ZLATAN IBILE despite the commercial success of the 2019 hit song, Gelato, which they performed together.
Among other allegation, the report further stated that AFEARE also described CUPPY as a fake friend that was exploiting ZLATAN, and went on to praise ZLATAN for flushing her.
In the letter by CUPPY’s lawyers, which was dated February 10, 2021, it noted that there was no breach of contractual agreement between her and ZLATAN.
The lawyer noted that the allegations made by AFEARE are completely untrue and constitute a grave libel upon their client.
They further demanded that AFEARE must tender an apology to DJ CUPPY within seven days of receiving the letter.
He is also expected to give his full assurance and an undertaking in writing not to repeat the claims he made against DJ CUPPY.
