A security officer at the Nigerian Embassy in Berlin, Germany has been sacked over an alleged sex-for-passport scandal.
Reports say the affected officer, who was identified as MARTINS ADEDEJI ONI, was exposed in a viral video on social media.
The Embassy confirmed in a message on Twitter that ONI was shown half-naked in a hotel room, and he was heard arguing with an unknown person who accused him of demanding sex from females who applied for passport renewals.
Nigerian Ambassador to Germany, YUSUF TUGGAR, who confirmed the termination of ONI’s appointment, said that the embassy had zero-tolerance for abuse of office and sexual misconduct.
