ENDSARS: U.S demands investigation, as officials meet Osinbajo

The United States government has strongly condemned incidents of military forces firing on unarmed protestors in Lagos.

Secretary of State, MIKE POMPEO, in a statement, said the US government demands that those involved in the shooting should be held to account under the law.

Meanwhile; representatives of the US government were in Abuja yesterday for a meeting with Vice President YEMI OSINBAJO.

A spokesperson for the US State Department, MORGAN ORTAGUS said the US officials were led by Counselor ULRICH BRECHBUHL.

ORTAGUS said the officials discussed US concerns about the ongoing violence in Nigeria, human rights, religious freedom, and trafficking in persons.

He said the Counselor BRECHBUHL expressed the US condemnation of the use of excessive force by the military who fired at unarmed protesters in Lagos.
