FEC approves $124M water project loans

The Federal Executive Council has approved another loan of over one hundred and twenty-four million US dollars.

The latest loan is to be obtained from the African Development Bank and the African Growing Together Fund.

The money is meant to be used by the Federal Ministry of Water Resources for water projects in Nigeria.

The Ministry’s spokesperson, KENECHUKWU OFFIE, said the projects include the Nigerian Urban Water Reform and Akure Water and Sanitation Project.

Another project is the completion of the Ota Water Supply Scheme in Ogun State, which the Federal Executive Council approved the contract at its meeting on Wednesday this week.
