All is set for the engagement of beneficiaries of the Federal Government’s seven hundred and seventy-four thousand direct employment programme.
The programme is due to be launched tomorrow, Tuesday, January 5, 2021, under the supervision of the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, FESTUS KEYAMO.
The recruitment is being done through the Special Public Work programme under the National Directorate of Employment.
FESTUS KEYAMO confirmed on his Twitter handle that President MUHAMMADU BUHARI approved the takeoff of the programme.
KEYAMO said all state structures of the National Directorate of Employment are already prepared for the take-off ceremonies.
Governors of the thirty-six states are expected to launch the programme at the same time, in collaboration with the Minister of State for Labour and Employment.
The Federal Government had set aside the sum of fifty-four billion naira for the Special Public Work programme.
Each of the beneficiaries will be paid twenty thousand monthly for a period of three months, when the programme is expected to come to an end.
