French police are investigating the handling of funds meant for the Covid-19 pandemic.
Officers have raided the homes of senior government and health officials as part of the investigation.
Those affected include the Health Minister OLIVIER VÉRAN and the director of the national health agency, JÉRÔME SALOMON.
Prime Minister JEAN CASTEX is also under investigation, as well as his predecessor EDOUARD PHILIPPE.
A former director of the national health agency, AGNÈS BUZYN is also being investigated.
