Gov Sanwo-Olu visits Lekki protesters; as demand extend Teachers, Doctors

The EndSARS protesters in the Lekki axis of Lagos State are insisting that President MUHAMMADU BUHARI must address them by himself.

The protesters made their demand when Governor BABAJIDE SANWO-OLU visited the Lekki Phase-One Toll Gate to address them.

It took several minutes of resistance before the protesters allowed Governor SANWO-OLU to mount a makeshift platform to talk to them.

Governor SANWO-OLU assured the protesters that the government was working with the police authorities to address complaints against SARS operatives.

The Lagos State Governor also advised the protesters to conduct themselves properly as they make their demands to the government.

However; Governor SANWO-OLU was interrupted in his presentation by the protesters, who kept on shouting additional demands.

They demanded that President BUHARI should issue an Executive Order on the scrapping of SARS and for the police authorities to retrieve the firearms of the disbanded SARS operatives, pending when they undergo a psychological evaluation.

They also made some new demands outside reforming the Nigeria Police to include improved working conditions and rewards for teachers and medical doctors, among others.
