Controversial Nigerian singer, NAIRA MARLEY has condemned the arrest of some schoolboys in Oyo State for identifying themselves as Marlians, which is the codename of his fan group.

NAIRA MARLEY was reacting to a video that was circulated on social media, showing the secondary school students being forced into a patrol van of the Southwest Security Network, popularly known as Operation Amotekun.

He accused the security agency of child abuse, in addition to the group already facing accusations of extrajudicial killings and harassment.
Nigerian-born female rapper SHOLA IDOWU, better known as WEIRD MC, has declared her interest to work with TENI as part of efforts to relaunch her musical career.

His son, DAN NKOLOAGU confirmed the death of his father in a statement but did not disclose what killed him.

Some Nigerian celebrities have paid tribute to American broadcaster, LARRY KING, who died over the weekend at the age of eighty-seven.

They include JOKE SILVA, GBENGA ADEYINKA and ALIBABA, who took to their social media accounts to recount their experiences with the late broadcaster.

In separate messages, they said LARRY KING redefined broadcasting in America and the rest of the world.

LARRY KING began his career in the 1950s and became popular in 1978 as host of “The Larry King Show”.

He later moved on to television and was famours for his nightly television interview programme “Larry King Live” on CNN.

It is believed that the music of late JONAS GWANGWA inspired the anti-apartheid struggle in South Africa.

South African President, CYRIL RAMAPHOSA, has led tributes in honour of the late musician, who was nominated for an Oscar for the theme song of the 1987 film “Cry Freedom”.
American singer TREY SONGZ has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a police officer.

Trey was arrested for trespassing, resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer.

The incident took place at the Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City during a National Football League game.
This report says the forthcoming James Bond movie ‘No Time to Die’ has been delayed again due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The global release of “No Time to Die” was first postponed from April to October last year.

The latest delay is another setback for movie theaters who are trying to rebuild a business crushed by the coronavirus pandemic.

The movie’s new debut date is set for October 8, according to an announcement on the James Bond website and Twitter feed.

The film, which cost an estimated two hundred million US dollars to produce, marks actor DANIEL CRAIG’s last outing as agent 007.
