IGP faults retired Maj-Gen on Control of Police

The Nigeria Police High Command has faulted comments by one retired Major General GARBA WAHAB on the handling of security challenges in the country.

The Force Public Relations Officer, FRANK MBAH, said the Inspector General of Police, MOHAMMED ADAMU, is firmly in control of the situation, contrary to comment credited to the retired Army General.

In a statement obtained by Lasgidi FM News Desk, MBAH said retired Major General WAHAB lacked knowledge of the working of the police when he said I.G.P. ADAMU had lost control of police.

The Force spokesman maintained that I.G.P. ADAMU has in the past twenty-three months in charge of the Nigeria Police shown good leadership qualities through the various reforms.
