IGP orders enforcement of Southern Kaduna Curfew

The Inspector General of Police, MOHAMMED ADAMU, has ordered police officers and men in Kaduna State to ensure full enforcement of a curfew in Southern Kaduna.

The move comes after hundreds of women from Southern Kaduna staged a naked protest to draw attention to the rampant killings and violent attacks in their communities.

IGP ADAMU directed the State Commissioner of Police to personally coordinate the operations of the Intervention Squad in ensuring peace and safety in the communities.

Force Public Relations Officer, FRANK MBAH, who confirmed the directive in a statement, said IGP ADAMU also sympathized with the people of Kaduna State, particularly those who have lost their loved ones and property as a result of the crises.

Meanwhile; the Police Public Relations Officer of the Kaduna State Police Command, ASP MOHAMMED JALIGE, spoke with our News Desk on why the violent crisis in South Kaduna had persisted.

ASP JALIGE also told Lasgidi FM’s News Desk that the police were currently investigating the murder of a lawyer and abduction of his wife and son around Tollgate area, along the Kaduna-Abuja Expressway, in Chikun Local Government Area.
