The Lagos State Police Command has dismissed ten police officers for various offences.
Those affected were indicted for murder, misconduct, excessive use of power and corruption.
They were among eighty-one policemen and women who were accused of criminal and disciplinary offences between October 2019 and October 2020.
Eighteen of them had their ranks reduced, twenty-nine were issued with warnings, while sixteen were discharged and acquitted due to lack of evidence.
The Command spokesman, OLUMUYIWA ADEJOBI, said the action was in line with efforts to promote discipline and core values of policing in Lagos State.
He said forty-five police inspects were among those who were tried, while some senior officers accused of disciplinary offences are being investigated at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
