Lagos TaskForce impounds over 130 Motorcycles

Security operatives in Lagos State have seized more than one hundred and thirty commercial motorcycles for driving on restricted areas.

Members of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Enforcement Agency also arrested five vehicle drivers for driving against traffic and obstruction of traffic.

The arrests and seizures were made when the task force operatives moved into the Abule-Egba area, as well as Fagba Road, Isolo, Ojota, and Oba Akran Road.

The operation was led by Police Superintendent SHOLA JEJELOYE, who is in charge of the newly formed Anti-One-way and Other Traffic Offences Squad.

Superintendent JEJELOYE promised that the taskforce would continue the operations although the festive period.

He said the enforcement operation will be spread to all parts of Lagos, and would be done both during the day and at night.

The Police Officer said the operation was part of efforts to stop armed robbers who operate on motorcycles.
