The National Broadcasting Commission is still facing criticism over the three million naira fine slammed on each of three television stations for alleged violations in the coverage of the EndSARS protests.
The affected stations are Channels Television, Arise Television, and African Independent Television.
The Media Rights Agenda and the International Press Centre have condemned the action by the NBC.
In a joint statement, the two groups accused the NBC of violation of the 1999 Constitution of Nigeria.
They also claimed that the broadcasting regulatory body did not the basic principles of a fair hearing in reaching its decision.
EDETAEN OJO of MRA and LANRE AROGUNDADE of IPC threatened to take joint legal action against NBC.
