NCDC complains about misinterpretation of Covid-19 Statistics

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has complained about the misrepresentation of the number of Covid-19 cases in the country.

With over sixty-five thousand samples tested so far, the NCDC has confirmed ten thousand, five hundred and seventy-eight Covid-19 cases in Nigeria.

Currently, only about two percent cases have travel history; twenty-three percent are contacts of existing patients; while seventy-five percent have unknown sources.

NCDC Director General, CHIKWE IHEKWEAZU, said the figures are real and the is no element of fraud as some persons had alleged.

IHEKWEAZU said with the easing of the lockdown comes strengthening of resistance against the virus.
