The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has confirmed nine hundred and ninety-nine new cases of Covid-19 across the country in the last twenty-four hours.
Four hundred and sixteen new cases were recorded in Abuja yesterday, while three hundred and twenty-four of the confirmed tests were recorded in Lagos.
The remaining new cases of Covid are are spread across Kaduna, Plateau, Kwara, Kano, Gombe, Sokoto, Yobe, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Rivers, Bauchi, Ogun, Oyo, Edo, Taraba, and Jigawa.
With the latest addition, the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Nigeria is now seventy-nine thousand, seven hundred and eighty-nine.
Nigeria has also recorded one thousand, two hundred and thirty-one deaths from Covid-19, while more than sixty-eight thousand, eight hundred people have recovered from the viral infection.
