Nigeria gets database for recovered assets

Nigeria now has a central database for the management of all assets recovered from treasury looters.

This is in line with the approval of the Federal Executive Council for a new anti-corruption outfit to be known as ‘Proceeds of Crime Recovery and Management Agency’.

During the launching ceremony of the database in Abuja, the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, ABUBAKAR MALAMI, said that all recovered assets are now tied to specific projects.

MALAMI had, while briefing State House correspondents, after the FEC meeting on Wednesday, explained the importance of proper management of recovered looted assets.
