The Ohanaeze Ndigbo has cautioned the Chief of Army Staff over an alleged threat to put the South-East in a state of emergency.
The apex Igbo socio-political group reminded Lieutenant-General TUKUR BURATAI that he lacked the powers to take such a decision on the South-East.
The Ohanaeze position was expressed in a statement signed by its Publicity Secretary, UCHE ACHI-OKPAGHA.
The warning comes after recent clashes between security operatives and suspected members of the Indigenous People of Biafra in Enugu metropolis.
