Oyo State Governor, SEYI MAKINDE, has presented the 2021 Budget of two hundred and sixty-six point six billion naira to the House of Assembly for consideration and approval.
The state government intends to spend one hundred and thirty-six billion naira on recurrent expenditure, while one hundred and thirty billion naira will go into capital expenditure.
In his presentation; Governor MAKINDE said the ultimate goal is for his administration to achieve a budget that spends more on projects and less on recurrent expenditure.
Governor MAKINDE also said that a sizeable amount of the budget will to education as part of efforts to tackle the problem of poverty through investment in a knowledge economy.
