Pastor Adeboye endorses ENDSARS protests, Falana faults SWAT

One of Nigeria’s respectable clerics, Pastor ENOCH ADEBOYE, has endorsed the protests against police brutality across the country.

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God quoted from the Bible that daughters will not be able to prophesy and young men will not see visions if they are not kept alive.

He said his church welcomes the disbandment of SARS and advised that the new SWAT Team should have nothing in common with SARS.

Pastor ADEBOYE also called on the government to take urgent steps to tackle the rising case of unemployment, decay in the education system, and the general harsh economic situation in the country.

Meanwhile; leading Human Rights Lawyer, FEMI FALANA, has picked holes with the formation of the Police Special Weapons and Tactics, SWAT Team.

FALANA said during a television interview that the response by the authorities to complaints of police brutality should go beyond a change of name.
