Peace Anyiam-Osigwe-Led AMP gets Lagos State Government Blessing

The PEACE ANYIAM-OSIGWE-led National Executive Committee of the Association of Movie Producers has been receiving endorsements.

The Electoral Committee of AMP is insisting that the PEACE ANYIAM-OSIGWE and members of her group are the legally recognized executives of the association.

The Chairman of the committee, SUNNY MACDON made the clarification because of concerns over the outcome of another election that was conduct by a splinter group of the association in Lagos.

MACDON maintained that the only recognized AMP election was done in Asaba, Delta State, where PEACE ANYIAM-OSIGWE and members of her Executive Committee were elected.

Meanwhile; the Lagos State Government has congratulated PEACE ANYIAM-OSIGWE as the first female President of the Association of Movie Producers.

The Commissioner Tourism, Arts and Culture, UZAMAT AKINBILE-YUSUF, challenged ANYIAM-OSIGWE and members of her team to build on the good legacies of the past leaders of the AMP.

The Commissioner also encouraged them to ensure professionalism and production of home movies that are rich in content and good morals.

She challenged the new President of AMP to hit the ground running and to fulfill her promise of turning around the Nigerian Film Industry in the interests of all producers in Nigeria.

AKINBILE-YUSUF said that the election of ANYIAM-OSIGWE as President and QUEEN BLESSING as Vice President, represents a significant milestone that sees AMP embrace women in leadership.
