POLICE INSPECTOR DIES FROM MACHETE CUT BY DERANGED SERGEANT
A Police Inspector has died after he was attacked with a machete by another police man following a disagreement at their residential compound around Oke-Odo axis of Lagos State.
Information from the Lagos State Police Command indicate that Inspector ADEKUNLE ILESANMI was attacked by Sergeant OKEMA AZUQUO after he tried to stop him from harming another tenant in the compound at No 8. Dosumu Street, Agbelekale Oke-Odo.
The Police Public Relations Officer, BALA ELKANA, said Inspector ILESANMI and another injured tenant AYODELE EYITAYO, were later rushed to hospital where the police officer died on Sunday, June 7, 2020.
D.S.P ELKANA said the Commissioner of Police paid tribute to the slain policeman, while the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti has taken over the investigation.
