Those who joined in the mass looting of warehouses in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, including Covid-19 palliatives, face the risk of arrest and prosecution even if they return the looted items.
This was made known by the FCT Commissioner of Police, BALA CIROMA when he appeared on a television programme earlier today.
C.P. CIROMA maintained that stealing is a crime in Nigeria and the return of looted goods does not change the fact that a crime had been committed.
The Police Commissioner said investigations are ongoing into the various cases of looting, after which legal experts would determine how to handle the cases.
