DSP OKON disclosed in a statement in the state capita, Maiduguri that some groups were planning to organized protests against the hike in fuel price and electricity tariff.

The police spokesman also said the organisers of the protesters also want to draw attention to the power working conditions of civil servants in Borno State and beneficiaries of the Federal Government’s N-power programme.

He said the Commissioner of Police, MOHAMMED NDATSU ALIYU, was concerned that the planned protest could sabotage efforts at maintaining peace and security in the state.
