Presidency talks tough over breakup warnings

Presidential spokesman, GARBA SHEHU, has said that the Buhari Administration will not give in to threats and undue pressure.

SHEHU made the comment in response to what he called threats to the corporate existence of Nigeria, following calls by some individuals and group on President MUHAMMADU BUHARI to make certain changes.

He warned that such comments, which he described as unpatriotic outbursts are both unhelpful and unwarranted.

The Presidential spokesman said the government will not succumb to threats and take any decision out of pressure.

He said at the moment, the nation’s full attention is needed to deal with the security challenges facing the country at a time of the Covid-19 health crisis.

GARBA SHEHU noted in a statement that the President would continue to work with patriotic Nigerians to finding solutions to structural and other challenges to the growth and wellbeing of the nation and its people.
