Presidency worried about demands for State Police

The Presidency has expressed concern over the increase in the demand for the creation of state police.

Senior Special Assistant to the President of Media and Publicity, GARBA SHEHU, said many states that are behind the demands for state police are unable to pay their workers.

SHEHU also said President MUHAMMADU BUHARI was worried about the misuse of weapons in the hands of police.

The Presidential spokesman who expressed his view on a television programme, warned about the danger of arming community policeman without paying his salary.
