The Katsina State has confirmed the release of hundreds of students who were abducted from the Government Science Secondary School in Kankara.
Governor AMINU MASARI made the revelation late last night, adding that the boys were first taken to the Tsafe local government area in Zamfara State.
Governor MASARI also said that the Kankara schoolboys would be brought back home today.
Meanwhile; President MUHAMMADU BUHARI has welcomed the release of the Kankara schoolboy, six days after they were abducted by bandits from their boarding house.
In a statement signed by his spokesman, GARBA SHEHU, President BUHARI said the release of the schoolboys was a big relief to their families, the entire country, and the international community.
The President also thanked all those who were involved in the process of securing the release of the boys for the steps they took to achieve the result.
