President MUHAMMADU BUHARI has offered automatic employment in the Federal Civil Service to one hundred and ten former members of the National Youth Service Corps.
President BUHARI also offered the former Corps members the opportunity to further their studies up to doctorate degree in any university in Nigeria for free.
The recipients of the awards include ANYAOGU ONYEYIRICHI REJOICE and Doctor EZE SUNDAY VICTOR, who were the best performing Corps members for 2018 and 2019.
The President made the announcements during the presentation of the NYSC Honour Awards to the beneficiaries for the excellent performance during the 2018 and 2018 service years.
He also said each of the one hundred and ten former Corps members would be given cash reward in addition to the scholarship and automatic employment.
President BUHARI noted that after forty-eight-years of the NYSC scheme, it has remained a strong symbol of Nigeria’s national unity and integration.
He challenged the young men and women to do all they can to resist the pressure to use their energy and knowledge for wrong reasons.
