The Senate of the Lagos State University, LASU, has appointed Professor DAMOLA OKE as the Acting Vice-Chancellor of the institution.
Professor DAMOLA OKE was the deputy Vice-Chancellor in charge of Administration, and he takes over from Professor OLANREWAJU FAGBOHUN, whose tenure ended today.
The Senate of LASU took the decision in line with a directive by Governor BABAJIDE SANWO-OLU, who also ordered the suspension of the process for the selection of a new Vice Chancellor.
Governor SANWO-OLU had last week found some faults in selection process, and directed the outgoing Vice Chancellor to call an emergency meeting of the Senate to appoint an Acting Vice Chancellor.
