Reactions are trailing the directive by the Nigerian Communications Commission for mobile telephone users in the country to register their National Identification Numbers with their service providers.
The NCC also directed the mobile telecom service providers to block any SIM card that is not attached with a National Identification Number within two weeks.
However; the House of Representatives passed a resolution asking the NCC to extend the deadline for the validation of mobile SIM cards with the National Identity Number.
The House took the decision based on a motion moved by the Minority Leader, NDUDI ELUMELU, asking for more time for Nigerians to complete the process.
