Resumption of International Flight delayed by one week

The resumption of international flight operations in Nigeria has been shifted by one week.

The Minister of Aviation, HADI SIRIKA, has earlier announced that international flight operations would resume on Saturday, August 29, 2020.

However; the Director General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, Captain MUSA NUHU, said that date was no longer possible.

The NCAA Chief Executive Officer certain necessary conditions are yet to be put in place for the smooth resumption of international flights, including the online portal for passengers to register for compulsory Covid-19 test on arrival in Nigeria.

The said the new and definite date for the resumption of international flight is now September 5, 2020, before which all remaining requirements would have been put in place.

Captain MUSA NUHU made the announcement during the routine media briefing in Abuja by the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19.
