The South-West Caucus in the Nigerian Senate has condemned the use of military force against peaceful protesters in Lekki, Lagos State.
The South-West Senators who are sixteen in number made their position known in a statement released after a meeting in Abuja.
The Senators said the recognise the right of citizens for peaceful protests but concerned about hoodlums hijacking the #EndSARS protests, which led to violence and destruction.
They noted that the demands of the EndSARS protesters are good but appealed to the protesters to be patient with the government on the implementation of their demands.
