Three to die by hanging for 2010 murder of Ex-Millitant

A Court in Rivers State has sentenced three persons to death by hanging for the killing of a Niger Delta militant leader, SOBOMA GEORGE, over ten years ago.

Justice GEORGE OMEREJI also found the men guilty for the murder of one JOY JOHN-EJIMS who was selling groundnuts at the time of the incident on August 24, 2010.

Justice OMEREJI ordered that DOUGBARA OGBE, EMMANUEL GLADSTONE, and BERE MATTHEW should be hanged on their neck until they die.

In his reaction to the ruling; the Prosecution Counsel, IPALIBO KARIBO-BOTOYE told newsmen in Port Harcourt that he was happy about the decision of the court.

Also speaking, JOHNSON SOLOMON, who is a friend of late SOBOMA GEORGE, praised the court for the judgment.
