A dumping truck, also known as Tipper, has rammed into a school bus, killing several pupils who were being driven home in Awgu town, in Enugu State.
A close source in the town, CHARLES OBASI, said at least twenty-seven school children and some teachers died in the accident.
OBASI also said some of those who survived the accident are in intensive care at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital in Enugu.
He also told Lasgidi FM News Desk on the telephone that the tipper involved in the accident belongs to construction company.
He equally disclosed that the accident happened a road construction site where the tipper was supplying materials.
CHARLES OBASI said some of the pupils involved in the accident were only a few metres to their houses when the accident happened on Wednesday evening.
