The National Working Committee of the People’s Democratic Party will be meeting on Thursday this week.
Before the NEC meeting, other organs of the party, including the Board of Trustees, also plan to meet to take a position.
National Publicity Secretary of the party, KOLA OLOGBODINYAN, said the NEC meeting will focus on pressing national issues.
OLOGBODINYAN said PDP leaders are aware of concerns by some senior members of the party in the Southeast, including Governor DAVE UMAHI of Ebonyi State.
OLOGBODINYAN said the party leaders are yet to take a decision on the zoning of the PDP’s 2023 presidential ticket.
He said when the PDP takes a decision on how to pick its presidential candidate in the next election, it would be based on the decision of the ruling All Progressives Congress.
