At least three persons have been shot as the EndSARS protesters blocked the Lagos-Badagry Expressway, around the Orile-Iganma area of Lagos State.
Lasgidi FM’s CHUKWUEMEKA OBIOMA reports that the incident happened after the protesters were confronted by the police Tuesday morning, October 20, 2020.
In Yaba area of Lagos metropolis, motorists could not drive through Adekunle- inward Third Mainland Bridge, as well as Oyingbo-inward Carter Bridge.
On the Lekki-Epe Expressway, touts blocked the Marwa section of the usually busy road, thereby forcing motorists to divert through Ikate.
On the Ikorodu Road, reports say rival street gangs clashed, with some protesters attacked, but the number of casualties could not readily be confirmed
The protest on the Apapa-Oshodi Expressway has also spread to other connecting roads in the area, as the demonstrators regrouped today.
Lasgidi FM’s AZUKA ONWUZOR reports that the protesters blocked the Isolo Road around Alafia, while an elderly man who joined the protest said the country currently reminds him of 1983 when President BUHARI was the Military Head of State.
Our man also reports that some thugs attempted to attack the Ilasa Police Station but they were stopped by the EndSARS protesters.
