A helicopter belonging to the Nigeria Police Force has crashed in Bauchi State with six persons onboard.
The helicopter reportedly took off from Abuja on its way to the Bauchi Airport, before it went down.
The Accident Investigation Bureau confirmed in a statement that the incident occurred at about 7:30PM yesterday.
According to the statement, the AIB spokesman, Tunji Oketunbi, said those onboard the crashed helicopter sustained injuries, but no one died.
However; the spokesman of the Nigeria Police Force, Frank Mbah, said the helicopter did not crash, but had a controlled safe landing.
Frank Mbah, who is a Commissioner of Police, also said none of those who were onboard the helicopter suffered any injury.
Mbah said the aircraft, which was flown by one of the best Police Pilots, had minor damage on the rear rotor.
