Lagos Police declares Sylvester Oromoni’s death natural

The Lagos State Police Command says it is no longer treating the death of Sylvester Oromoni as a criminal matter following autopsy reports that ruled that he died of natural causes.

The outgoing Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu said that findings from the post mortem and toxicology report conducted in Delta and Lagos state revealed that there were no indications of assault in the death of the late Dowen College Lekki student.

CP Odumosu who warned those threatening to protest the outcome of the investigations to go the legal way or be ready to face the full wrath of the law, advised aggrieved individuals or groups to seek redress in court instead of taking the law into their own hands.

The Police boss also said that late Sylvester Oromoni was not given proper medical attention before he died.

Meanwhile the Chairman of the Ijaw Youth Council, Henry Oyobolo has expressed dissatisfaction with the position of the Lagos State Police Command on the death of Slyvester Oromoni.

Oyobolo in an interview with Lasgidi FM News Desk, alleged that the Police Command were hasty in their investigations.
