Don’t cause religious war in Nigeria, PFN warns Governor Abdulrasaq

The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria has warned the Governor of Kwara State, Abdul-Raman Abdulrasaq, against causing religious war in Nigeria.

PFN President, Bishop Wale Oke, issued the warning in Ibadan, Oyo State, during a meeting with some church leaders from Ekiti and Ondo states.

Bishop Oke was speaking against the backdrop of the Hijab crisis in Kwara State, which forced the state government to close down ten Christian mission schools.

He appealed to the Governor Abdulrasaq to give peace a chance, avoid divisive politics, and to respect the tradition and feelings of others.

Meanwhile; reports from Ilorin indicate that all ten mission schools that were shut down by the Kwara State government have resumed classes yesterday, with some resistance.
