Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has set up a nine-member committee to oversee the government’s empowerment programme for the creative industry.
The Committee include Nollywood actor, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Film and TV producer, Mo Abudu, and veteran movie producer, Kunle Afolayan.
At the inauguration of the committee, Governor Sanwo-Olu pointed out that the state government had set aside one-billion-naira as seed capital for the creative and tourism sector.
The Governor said the scheme is meant to support creative ideas of producers who lack funding to develop their concepts.
