The African First Ladies Peace Mission has elected the wife of Nigeria’s President, Aisha Buhari, as its president.
Aisha Buhari has also acquired a parcel of land in Abuja where the African First Ladies Mission will build its secretariat.
These were made known at the opening ceremony of the 9th General Assembly of the AFLPM, which was also attended by President Buhari.
In his address; President Buhari promised to support the resolutions of the mission on the promotion of peace and development in Africa.
