The Akwa Ibom State government has ordered one million doses of Covid-19 vaccines.
Governor Udom Emmanuel made this known following the increasing cases of the new Delta variant in the state.
Governor Emmanuel advised people of the state to ignore what people are saying about the vaccines and take them to protect themselves.
He was speaking at a family event at Afaha Ubiumn in Onna Local Government Area, which was organised by the Government House Permanent Secretary, Nathaniel Adiakpan.
Recall that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on Monday announced that nineteen of the reported Delta variants in the country are in Akwa Ibom State.
