Popular Nollywood actor, Yomi Fabiyi, has led a protest to the Lagos State Police Command Criminal Investigation Department in Yaba to demand for the release of BABA IJESHA.
The actor, whose real name is James Olanrewaju Omiyinka, is accused of sexual molestation of a fourteen-year-old girl under the care f popular comedienne, Princess.
However; Fabiyi, and other protesters argue that the prolonged detention of Baba Ijesha, without charge the case to court, is a violation of his fundamental human right.
The protesters appealed to the Nigeria Police Force to follow the law in handling the case, and avoid being put under pressure by the accusers of Baba Ijesha.
The Lagos State Ministry of Justice has already listed five charges against Baba Ijesha, but the matter is yet to be charged to court because of the strike by members of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria.
