Armed bandits have attacked a military base in Zazzaga community, in Munya Local Government Area of Niger State.
Local inhabitants of the community told newsmen that the gunmen, who were about one hundred, arrived at the military camp on motorcycles, shooting in all direction.
The attack happened at about 4PM today, with a civilian identified as Jacob Auta killed, while the bandits also stole a military vehicle.
Armed bandits have attacked a private university in Kaduna State, killing a security guard at the institution.
The bandits also abducted some male students of the private Greenfield University, which is located along the Kaduna-Abuja highway, in Chikun Local Government Area.
The State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, confirmed the attack, together with the spokesman of the State Police Command, ASP Mohammed Jalige.
